Since many of the CRA's operate in the US, by providing your previous address will create a new US-based file, but link you (an association if you like) with your UK profile.

So it isn't a transfer, simply a link. Your previous history is then used to populate the new file.

Will it? I know the likes of Ex/Eq operate here and the US, but I doubt they share information. More to the point, would they even be allowed to?

It is frustrating to go through this so many times on so many threads. People continually coming on here stating that their cra score is 999 but can't borrow or get credit.

When asked for more details then explanation comes out about the bankruptcy, dmp, missed payments, ccjs and other car crash of a life spent recklessly spending other people's money and not paying it back. The fact that people are happy to cling onto a meaningless score rather than face up to the problems they have created is a sad reflection on a lack of responsibility, as well as the greed of experian and equifax in feeding and profiting on these people's desperation to borrow wherever they can.

    Rant over.
