This summer myself and OH will will be moving in with the in laws for a couple of months until OH starts new job and we move into new location. There will be three computers in the house (ours, OH's sister and MIL's). Can anyone recommend the cheapest wireless router and adaptop package, or separates, that we could buy? One computer will be in the downstairs living room, the other to in bedrooms upstairs. As I'm doing a lot of work online at the moment it needs t be reasnobly reliable. Any help would be muchly appreciated!

Cable phone or BT line (ADSL)? Are any of the PC going to be wired or have wireless already?Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0

There are many for around £30 these days, check on eBuyer, Amazon etc0

It's a BT line - only SIL's laptop has a wireless receiver already, so we will probably need only 1 for our desktop - as am I right in thinking you can also run a phsical cable from the router to the downstairs machine?0

yes, usually the PC nearest the phone point (if it has an ethernet card) is (or can be) connected with an ethernet cable, and then most routers have 3 more ethernet ports, plus loads of wireless ports to attach other stuff.
Personally I'd get one of these:

But if you want bargain basement, there are cheaper ones available, just make sure it is an adsl model.
