Have exchanged today with completion on Friday on my sale and purchase. Would just like to say that those who say "anything will sell at the right price" are right. Had my house on the market for over a year without any viewings. Kept dropping it and it wasn't until I hit a certain level that the viewers started trooping through the door in droves. 24 viewings, 2 sales that fell through and then finally the one that stuck. Less than 7 weeks from accepting offer until exchange thanks to very motivated sellers/buyers in a chain of 3 houses all on top of their solicitors.
It's been a very long journey but I finally made it!
Now to get the packing done!

Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should

Have been reading threads like this myself for a year and feeling jealous so I know exactly where you're coming from - you will get there! It's just a matter of patience but if you're anything like me, patience is not my best virtue!!0
