ATOS assesment - why is it taking so long?

I had my ATOS assesment for my IB 5 weeks ago now, and still have heard nothing. I've had all my payments as usual, and am aware that payments stop as soon as a decision has been made. I'm trying to remain optimistic that the decision has been made in my favor and my letter is on its way to me, has anybody else's decision taken this long? I've heard from most people to expect it within 10-14 days?

Both the DWP and ATOS have massive backlogs at the moment, hence the delay. The delay is not indicative of a pass or a fail. Perhaps worth giving the DWP a call to check if they have received your file back yet?

You need to give them your national insurance number, name and address.

Ask them what is going on with your claim; its simply shouldnt take this long!!

from the time of my assessment to the getting my decision was over 3 months, even tho i had chased them a number of times

hope u dont have to wait that long!!
