It's an extension of the attitude these days that people don't take responsibility for their own actions. If you got caught out by this site it's your fault.0

Absolutely 100% spot on.:T0 -
People only need to type DSA in to Google, the first thing that comes up is, wait for it... the DSA official site.
How difficult was that ?0 -

whoa hold your horses there I have to check that out
google dsa
wow it works
I'm only messing, any reason to use lmgtfy
but on a serious note I completely agree with you, everyone knows that it is the DSA that organise the tests so I dont know why they just dont go direct to their site.
infact if you google book a driving test the official direct gov DSA page is the top result
though I must note I use an ad blocker so do not see any ads that may come up, but arnt the ads shown up and marked as ads anyway?0 -

Yes, they are marked as " Ads ", they also have a pinkish background, but obviously they are far too difficult for some folk to spot..;)
Exactly
when i google "book a theory test" the official site is bang under the pinkish ads. Even the link gives it awayIf Adam and Eve were created first
.Does that mean we are all inbred0 -
Government departments may not use PayPal, but some have used WorldPay and Protx which is only a step up from PayPal.0

I've started a list of all these dodgy booking sites- can't post a link as I'm too new, but you can find it if you search for "Crispy Fried Software blog"
There are a good few of them now- and they constantly pop up and disappear. I'll try and keep this up to date (I've come across a lot of people in the last couple of months who have been stung by this)0 -
Very strange this old topic getting dragged up, i've just read through it all and am i the only person wondering why all the people that have fallen for this website got 1 post to their name, even after 4 years.
Something doesn't quite feel right.0 -
What happens is people get scammed, they search Google (the same way in which they fell for the scam in the first place by subsequently clicking on an advert rather than a genuine link), and as this site ranks quite highly there they find this post and sign up to reply.Very strange this old topic getting dragged up, i've just read through it all and am i the only person wondering why all the people that have fallen for this website got 1 post to their name, even after 4 years.
