Renting a room to foreign students

Hi,
I have an ad on Gumtree to rent out my room and have had a young French student come in contact with me.
It made me think about maybe looking for short term renting to students coming to study.
I'm just wondering how good/bad this may be? If I have genuine people wishing to study then that will be fine but if I have crazy students, not so great.
If this is soemthing I want to explore, where do you think the best place is to start looking to advertise?

We have many people in our area that do this. There are actual companies who provide students to homes, maybe do a quick search online. The one advantage to this is if there is a problem with the student you call them up and they sort the problem for you.0

Thank you. What do you think I should google? I had a little look and couldn't really see much information.0

Try English Language schools, there is one in the town near us that obtains accommodation with local people for their students. It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

1 advantage with students is that you don't lose the single person council tax discount . However if you go through the language schools , you may be required to provide breakfast and /or evening meal .0
