Problem using Kodak Picture Software

I used an all in one card reader plugged into a spare USB port to download photos from an XD card since then when using the Kodak Pictures Software the programme opens OK but when I go to add pictures from the file I get a message box saying "Windows no disk. Exception processing error C0000013 parameters 75b6bf9c 4 75b6bf9c 75b6bf9c". I can access and print photos via the Epson File Manager programme but hope someone can help me resolve the problem with the Kodak programme. I am using Windows XP Service pack 2.
