Selling on amazon, which service for expedited delivery ?

Which service do amazon buyers normally expect for "expedited delivery" ? I've set my prices for special delivery next day, but I'm wondering if maybe they just want first class ? I have free postage (2nd class) on all of my items, so maybe expedited should just be first?

I always thought the expedited service should be special, but. If you're buying from Amazon themselves, expedited is guaranteed next day delivery. So Special Delivery or courier.
You may get away with first class but expect problems if it doesn't arrive next day and the buyer has paid £10 for a first class stamp..0 -
Now I spoke to Amazon about this last year and they advised that an Expedited order should be sent by a delivery method faster than 1st class post.
We charge £6.75 for Expedited and vary delivery between UK Mail and SD and amazingly people actually pay that for a £1.50 item!
We also send all of our post by 2nd class but I do go through phases of sending all of it by 1st class around Bank Hols etc.
all of this said quite a few of our competitors only charge a couple of £££'s so they must just send them by 1st class.0 -

Thanks. I'm not trying to rip anyone off, I was just curious because someone just paid nearly 7 quid to post a 5 pound item.0 -
Could they use couriers? Some high volume courier rates net to a small amount, if their listing already includes postage then it would probably cost them less than that.all of this said quite a few of our competitors only charge a couple of £££'s so they must just send them by 1st class.
We usually upgrade to courier or special if buyer buys several items.
Having purchased from Amazon in the US sending to UK, their expedited service for that can be as slow as their standard delivery..0
