How much for good quality bathroom tiles?

Hi

We are in the final stage of planning our bathroom refurbishment. We're not particularly skimping on quality (high end Majestic frameless shower enclosure, good suite etc) but equally we don't want to be ripped off.

Anyway, I have no idea what we should be looking to pay for floor and wall tiles - floor will have underfloor heating and the wall tiles will be the back wall for the shower enclosure.

My wife has her eye on some Villeroy and Boch tiles (porcellain, I think) she's seen in the local bathroom shop and these seem to be around £50/m2. We've seen others in local tile shops that range anything from £20/m2 to close to £100/m2. I appreciate that we will be paying a premium for Villeroy and Boch's name but does anyone know if they are good quality and worth the premium? How much should we be looking to pay?

My wife isn't keen on anything that needs sealing as we have a very young daughter and she wants to avoid the pungent chemicals so I believe that this rules out stone.

Any suggestions on suppliers (we are in Bromley, Kent)?

Thanks

I don't know anything about tiles but my FIL who is a plumber swears by tiles galore in croydon (think it is canterbury st) who are a trade warehouse....

v + b nice but def overpriced but not as much as the versace we have in the showroom. our best priced porcelain 600 x 300 is in the region of 25-29 quantity dependent but would say 30 something should get you a top quality tile
