How to repair skin around eye!?

Hi all! Just after a big of advice!
I had quite traumatic news a week ago and cried for hours (you know when you can't cry anymore because it feels like there's no tears left and it aches?)
I cried on and off for a couple of days and I've since calmed down!
But! I wear a lot of make-up and eyeliner. I've now got, on the outside corner of my left eye a sore patch about the size of a Cotton bud tip. Because it's constantly stinging it makes my eye water and tears get on to it and make it sore. I've tried a few things, mainly very plain moisturisers and leaving it make-up free for a couple of days. It's still causing my eye to water now, which then gets straight onto the sore bit and irritates it more!
I've definitely not got an eye infection, it's just this sore spot that I can't keep tears off!
Any ideas on what I should do?

I'd show it to the pharmacist, they might have a cream you can put on it.0

An eye cream would be better than a normal moisturiser. Moisturisers are for the face. The skin around the eyes is more fragile, and eye creams are formulated specifically with that in mind.
What is this sore patch like? Is it just flaky skin, or is it red and scabby, or weeping, or what? If it's very bad, you should go to the doctor.0 -
Will pop to the chemist tomorrow and see what I can find

It's very hard to explain without showing you. I'm going to make an awful attempt of making an eye...
*<( . )> the sore is on my left eye just to the left in the corner. It's just on the skin, but is constantly irritated by my eyes being a bit watery. It's worst when I've been out in the windy weather which makes my eyes run and then irritates the patch. It's not scabby and isn't flakey (it was before I put on moisturisers).
I'm thinking of putting a bit of Vaseline jelly on it to protect the skin from my eye watering?0 -
Vaseline won't do it any harm and will certainly protect it.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0

I be had that before its kinda like chapped skin at the eyes due to so much moisture... Vaseline clears it up for me....

Big hugs

I was also going to recommend Vaseline, especially the one with aloe vera in.0

Sudocream or bepanthum:)All power is from within and therefore under our control0

Sorry to hear you had bad news.
Vaseline or any barrier cream is great. Especially if you can put it on at night so its protecting your eye and you're not rubbing or touching it while you sleep.
I also do this if my nose or lips are chapped.0 -
Another vote for bepanthen or Sudocrem. So soothing (I used both on tattoos)!
