I bought a Samsung galaxy note 10.1 tablet.
What anti virus or internet security do I need?
I went to download windows security essentials, but I didnt know what version of windows I was running - am I even running windows!

Its not Windows:D its Android.
Most people will tell you Android devices do not get viruses But Avast or Avg from the Playstore will be good for you.0 -
I recently bought Kaspersky Internet Security on Amazon, for 3 PC's and got a free license for my Android tablet. You can also download a 1 month trial from the Kaspersky website or the Google Play store.0

Yeah, it's an Android. I have Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 and since I do not install apps from any other sites than Google Play I think I don't need an antivirus app. I don't do banking either, so I guess nothing to lose here.0
