I was very mature and smashed up my laptop the other day, a Toshiba C660 I had bought via argos refurbs
(or the co. that does them) for £250 ish 18 months ago. It had frozen and the broswer kept saying 'not responding' even after I had just reset it. I punched the screen then just smashed the bloody thing, as it prevented me watching the football
Anyway I need a new one and some help deciding which one. Something reliable with a cam and decent memory, though I don't download films yet as I haven't worked it out.
Any good refurbished ones? I was gonn try argios on ebay again then I read they use a subsidiary company, still the last one was ok.
How about this place in Essex which is a not for profit working with people with health problems? Any of these ones good value? I like the fact it is a good cause.

Or should I try ebay argos refurbs again? http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/argos/m.html?item=360596810060&pt=UK_Computing_Laptops_EH&hash=item53f53ea94c&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562
Generally what should I look out for and what should I avoid?
Should I try and get one in a general ebay auction? Worried about lack of waaranty etc. Also, I don't have a computer just now cos of what I did so sitting around bidding is difficult.

Possibly a lack of RAM or just malware. What was the full model number?
A couple options if you don't want to go do the cashback route.
Toshiba Satellite C855-1GR(In Black, White, Red or Purple) for £229.99 or the black version of the one in the post above...0 -

The laptop has only just arrived today, and I have to submit the claim between 30 and 60 days after purchase. But I have made similar claims from Acer on behalf of my company for office PCs and have had no problems.albionrovers wrote: »How did the cashback go? Any hitches/dodgy stuff?0 -
Hi
What does your wife think of the laptop, it seems a good price with the cashback?
Thanks0 -
She loves it, Windows 8 will take a bit of getting used to but it's pretty quick and a real girly colour so she's happy!0
