Can look but can't log on to ebay.

Tried logging in to ebay since I came home from work and no can do!
It will let me look at things, but when I come to log on it just keeps whirling and won't let me sign in. I havent had this before so dont know what I should do - any ideas anybody?

Trouble is it just locks everything up and then I have to switch off at the mains and reboot it all.
:hello:  please play nicely children !

Tied that BallisticBrian but it didn't work. I've tried it on Firefox and as soon as I logged in my details on the log in screen it froze and then the screen went black, then blue and said Windows had closed down because of a problem etc. Strange thing is I can get onto the other websites without problem, and I can access my ebay account on my netbook.

Oh dear, Do you know what version of Windows it is. Have you got security \ virus scanning installed?

Yes virus stuff installed and been working ok but I have got a sync error that I need to attend to. Do you think that could be it? Got to go offline now so have to look at it later.

Forgot to say its Windows Vista.

My inlaws had this the other day - internet explorer would just crash on the ebay log in page without any useful error messages. I installed chrome and tried and it displayed an error message saying silverlight had crashed.

i uninstalled silverlight and then was able to log into ebay in internet explorer
