Do you need to arrange via your MP to get to climb Big Ben and a tour of parliament?

Yes you do, but I don't think you can climb St Stephen's Tower.0

Yeah I believe you can. Never been to London and want to see a few places. Plan to propose to my partner, so a day taking in the sites would be ideal. Just trying to work out how to get to places and how much we can do in say two days.0

You can pay for a guided tour in the summer recess and weekends. But at £16.50 I'd go for contacting my MP.
All options are on the Parliament website0 -
We went to the Houses of Parliament last year and it was absolutely brilliant. It was just so interesting. The guide was too, he was just so passionate abuot the history it rubbed off on us. I learned a lot of things that day. Going through the room with the red and green chairs in was great too. Ask her to marry you with the Gold throne in the background and get some pics. I don't think you can climb the tower though. Security is stiff too, as it should be of course.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
According to the following, you can climb Big Ben (or the Elizabeth Tower etc etc):
