hi everyone
first post so bare with me plz..
today after returning to my car i found a parking charge notice attatched to my widscreen
its not the usual one though (i have had parking tickets twice before)
Yhis one is from a company called CPEC ltd
and the reason for issue is 'no permit'.
now i have been parking on or around the same spot for 5 years (along with others) with no tickets as before, there are NO signs and No lines painted on the road to say it is a permitted area.
is this ticket valid?
what should i do plz plz help?
(P.s the 2 tickets i recieved were from the council 1. was parking too close to a curb when i first past 2.i overstayed by 5 minutes in a parking bay when wife was having a baby so im not a repeat offender)

Perhaps it's a scam like this one http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2112229/Conman-fake-parking-tickets-home-tried-convince-150-motorists-send-payment-him.html0

Generally as a rule I ignore parking tickets, especially if there from private companies. They'll be persistant at first but the letters usually stop. Defintaely wait till they contact you first. No need to call them up and give away your bank details now.0

Quite simply, if you do not see a PPC listed on the AOS members list (Google it) then they CANNOT get the registered keeper's details from the DVLA and cannot write to you to follow it up at all.
These are fake Parking Tickets and you will hear nothing more, as long as you DO NOT contact them! To give them your details on a plate as part of any 'appeal' or denial' would be plain daft, like replying to a phishing emailer.
Was this fake PCN issued on private land or on a Council-owned street? The latter would be illegal but the first is a scam anyway as already explained.
P.S. And no-one minds on here if you were a 'repeat offender' for Council PCNs anyway! It's just a shame you paid them as most can be appealed and won if you just take the appeal to the formal stages.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
