Your advice on Online Giving Sites
Options
Hi just wanted others experience and advice on using charity giving sites to make donations.
I am working for a small charity that accepts donations and is looking to set up a series of sponsored events.
I'm looking for sites that are the best and easiest to use for donors.
I'm also interested in setting up text donations and sites where donations come because of other activities online users are doing e.g. could someone explain how sites like easyfundraising.org work?
We use justgiving now, but in terms of the most cost effective/free alternatives out there. Any suggestions?

Personally I only ever used mobile once, and thats because I was in a bar, extremely drunk. I would never use one when not under the influence.
Whenever I have a friend who is doing a charity event I always pay them via their JustGiving or VirginMoneyGiving events, but I realise they usually take quite a bit of commission, but it is very easy for people to donate. It also helps me as I can print out the receipt, hand it to my employers and they write a cheque out to the charity matching my donation.0 -
We use JustGiving and Virgin at work, and I think they're both fine.
I made my first text donation the other day, which was via JustGiving / Vodaphone. Really easy, and I got a text message with details of how to add Gift Aid. However, one caveat, it's taken me several weeks to get round to doing the Gift Aid, and I only remembered now because of this thread. I guess for those with smartphones you just click straight away, but I don't do web browsing on the move!Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
