Everything will be fine. The lead up to bankruptcy is by far the hardest part.
    Good luck!

@Rylynn, I've got to be there at 9.30
@tigerfeet2006, I've called Nationaldebtline and I've been researching over the net for the last month on a daily basis. I think I might have BR overload right now!
  • As the others have said its really straight forward and easy, I got a smile off the judge as I left, they are human too.

To be honest I was enjoying watching the other naughty people speaking with there solicitors and listening about the different cases.

That should take your mind off things.

Also once you have court out of the way, you will get a call from the OR shortly after dont panic they run through the forms over phone and they tell you whats about to happen any question just ask.

She went through my income and expenditure list actually on my call I think going back. Just make sure you engineer your form to leave you with enough. E.g i owed my mum £5000k over a few years so I pay her still to this day even after bankruptcy I just had to hide it in my figures. Areas such as house keeping and travel expenses help e.g your work place is say 30miles away but you sometime have to work out on the road or at another office hence more miles so more £££. Some people would think its dishonest but how i see it is you went bankrupt to sort your debts out officially and to have to pay a IPO for three years is really difficult.

But anyway you will be fine and remember this you have already done the hard bit admitting things are tough and i need to sort them out. Believe it or not that is a strength.

Anyway Hi all I'm new first time to reply but long time listener.

i guess by the time you read this you will be back from the court. i was very apprehensive too, esp at having to go to the RCJ - although my debts amounted to considerably less than yours (i wouldn't have thought that made a difference tbh). i found the staff at the court very friendly and helpful, and although it can only be a stressful experience, nothing that happened there made it any worse - if anything, they really helped. i hope your day went easy for you, i would imagine it did. have a stiff drink afterwards and take a deep breath and smile. :)
