Civil enforcement taking me to court

Hi all, I had a letter off civil enforcement limited saying I had overstayed at one of their car parks 26/2/2012.
I followed the advice on here and ignored their letters
Now I have had a claim form from Northampton county court with a seal stamp and claim number.
I was not driving the car at the time of the offence so will obviously be stating this in my defence. Anything else I should be putting? This is a local car park that I have used all my life (as is the driver) and never noticed the signs as I am familiar with the car park so simply wasn't looking out for parking restrictions.
Under brief details of claim it says...... Damages arising from breach of contract AND payment by the defendant for the total amount.
The car park is free for upto two hours and then you are fined for staying longer. One of the businesses that the car park serves is a ladies hair salon which I imagine has lots of customers staying for longer than the 2 hours free period.
How should I word my defence, I really need to get it posted today.
Thanks and regards

Pepipoo is the best place for this and there are several decent defences in use there.0

No I'm just about to send my acknowledgment back, but it has a space for me to put in my defence.... Or should I leave this blank for now?0

Please take this to PePiPoo & start a new thread over on that forum. http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?act=SF&s=&f=60 No disrespect to the MSE regulars but you will get a much better class of advice there.0
