Tenancy Agreement advice

We are looking to buy an investment property and are trying to do some research prior to this. Is it best to do it through Letting Agency? If we do it ourselves do we have to go through a lawyer to get a tenancy agreement?

The most sensible way to acquire a decent tenancy agreement is through membership of a landlords association. There are a number of benefits of membership in addition to guidance and advice, and the cost can be offset against the rental-income for tax-purposes.
Using a letting agency means you can take advantage of their vetting and referencing expertise, if they have any, at the prospective tenant's expense. Expect to be charged a nice, fat fee for their tenant-finding service.
Tenancy agreements and tenant-referencing are just the tip of the iceberg, however0 -
