Were on our second in the space of a year, worked fine when we got it but now the temp goes roasting and freezing, .
This could happen if water is being used elsewhere in the home at the same time as you are having a shower. I have experienced this when someone else has turned on a tap or set the washing machine going. When the shower is the only appliance using the water supply there is no problem.

Its got nothing to do with water elsewhere, had a plumber check it and its all fine, its the shower. He even said that triton are one of the worst makes of showers, think ill stick to baths, alot safer unless you want scalded by the shower.
Baby number 2 due April 2010, were having a girl!!! :j

we alternate between the b and q own make and wickes own make, one of them is made by triton, the other by mira, both of which are on the whole good showers

Oh well you must be unlucky. As long as nobody/nothing uses water elsewhere I can control the water temperature completely to my satisfaction. It's not a huge drawback for me and it means I don't have to deal with all the hassle of having a bath.
