Hello all
Im not sure if this is the right part of the forum, I apologise if it isn't.
I'm currently experiencing a minor disaster. We have a water leak of approx 10000 litres a day under our house from a suspected pipe burst.it is so bad that the foundations are 19 inch deep in water and it has started leaking into the garden.
However homeserve who we have a policy with has said they cannot start to repair the leak until friday, and the reason they have given is they don't hve the staff.
Are they under any obligation to fix it wihin a timescale,it's not like a dripping tap? Or is there anything else I can do?

Without being funny.....turn the water off.
You will have to read your Home serve contract for the answer to your other question.
Or get in touch with your Home Insurance company they may want to send in an emergency plumber.0 -
The water is off,but we can't leave it off until Friday,we have 4 adults living in the house.0

It is good to know that you sorted the OP.
Nevertheless, seemingly (as homeserve originally told him nothing could happen till tomorrowe) this only happened because he went public, and clearly you don't like this type of publicity.
Shame about all the rest of your clients who don't post their poor experiences on MSE!

Good morning
We want all of our customers to have a great experience with us, regardless of how they get in touch. I'm glad we spotted hobbgoblin's post as it gave us the chance to put it right.
Of course we're sorry that it wasn't sorted quickly the very first time we were contacted and we do use the feedback we get in order to improve our service moving forward.
