TRITON CASELONA 9.5k - CAN YOU RECOMMEND?

I am considering buying this shower - its on special offer in Argos £59.99.

Does anyone have this, and would you recommend it. The WHICH best buys are Triton and Mira but models in excess of £200. Don't need anything fancy just a good shower!

Or if you know of another that you can recommend - please do.

Thx

    Hi EM

The shower you mention is fine. I have two Triton 9.5s in my home. They come IIRC with a 2 year guarantee.

I will add that I am in a soft water area so that may make a differerence.

However, you will need a 10mm cable with a 45A MCB or fuse. If you are replaing one, which I suspect you are this may well be fed with a 6mm cable with a 40A MCB, if the rating of the old one is 8.5KW or less.

If you need to carry out modifications to the eletrical wiring (referred to as the installation) then this does come under scope with Part P.

Double check the situation before you come to fit it.

Thanks for this. I am replacing a 9.5 with a 9.5. I will check out the fuses etc. The old one was prof. installed 10 years ago, but as it burnt out, I will double check.
  • Help needed please?

I have moved into temporary accommodation prior to completing a home move and there is a Caselona II shower fitted.

Now I reckon I am good with electrical stuff but can I work this two-dial thing out out? No chance.

I can't imagine it is faulty but I can only get it to run boiling hot --- or cold.

Clearly I am stupid so can anyone offer any advice.

    Please? :-)
  • On mine, the top dial shows blue (cold), red (medium) two red lines (hottest).

On the bottom dial it goes from 1 - 9. One the coldest and 9 hottest. When we use shower normally have the top button on the two red lines, and then just adjust the bottom one for the required temperature.

Should be easy - prob yours is not working properly. Complain, as you are renting they should sort it out, also wanna make sure it is safe.
