Advice required about Ice Lolly.com

Hi, I booked a holiday through these last Wednesday evening to Croatia for 5 days for Four adults.
After 2 days nothing, not even a confirmation email so I phoned them up explaining this and I nests toy received an email confirming just the flights. S I phoned them back and asked about the hotel, when I toiled a name was spelt incorrectly on the flight info, so they said by Monday evening I'd have it all sorted in a new email. This evening arrives and nothing, so I called them back and they said they'd phone back in an hour. An hour passes, no phonecall. S I phone them back and the guy sounds like he's in a telephone booth and says he's away from his desk and will phone straight back. Still nothing.
I'm getting pretty cheesed off and more importantly worried as this is outer first family holiday abroad in over ten years and was to celebrate my daughters 18th birthday.
I paid by credit card.
Can anyone offer any advice as to the best course of action to take?
Many thanks,

Paul

P.s. I'm new here so if this is in the wrong forum then apologies.

  • You have been dealing with a firm that "does not hold any information regarding bookings of holidays and are not responsible for the bookings made." Have you phoned the companies you are actually booked with?

You need to establish exactly who you booked the holiday with. It certainly wasn't icelolly.com. They are just a platform for travel agents and tour operators to advertise on.
If you are unsure, you will have to maybe re search and see if you can find them via that means.

Almost everyday on this forum there is a grievance with people booking holidays through weird, dodgy companies no-one has ever heard of. Who are these people? Why do people book expensive holidays through strange companies?

Go with reputable companies only, you might save £18 pp booking through some strange company hqed on the Isle of Man or something but wow.

Have to agree. Three years ago used icelolly platform to book for Turkey, what a disaster! Now I just go into the local co-op, pay £50 more for the holiday and have a much better experience and holiday.

Noel Edmonds occasionally gives away holidays courtesy of icelolly.com on Deal or No Deal.

I've seen people on that show crying and screaming in sorrow.
