Little to choose between them in terms of service.

As regards price have a look at the MSE article above.

Autoaid covers you and your partner for any car you are driving.

£37 covers roadside assistance, home start and relay to get you and up to 5 passengers home.

No other company offers such good value.

I do not take cover out however i am insured through my bank, LLoyds are insured with AA if you have a Silver Account or upwards. Maybe worth checking if you have it already with your bank?

Currently you can get RAC personal cover and recovery for £79.99 on line which also has a £50 fuel card, making the net cost £29.99, (or £40 cashback through quidco, but apparently it won't allow both!)

Take care with B/down cover that comes with your Bank Account.

My son relied on this with his Nat. West account, or at least he did till I read the small print. The bank's provider is Green flag and on this deal he gets:

One hour's work for a roadside fix which if it can't be done, a tow to a garage of GF's choice, (Probably the GF trucks home base), or a tow to somewhere else no more than 10 miles away.
So a bank funded breakdown gives the Hobsons choice of a fix at a garage you don't know, at an unknown cost which is possibly 100's of miles from your home, or a tow home at a cost of heaven knows what the moment it exceeds 10 miles

As a Caravanner I'm with GF myself, but in the event of a breakdown the Banks GF cover is so shallow it would cause more problems than it solves

Must admit, I am currently with Barclays Additions for RAC cover (half price as staff account!) and I think this has changed, I am sure it did not use to be only 10 miles, that is pretty useless.

According to the press, most of the banks have recently been 'Adjusting' the levels of cover that come with a fee based Current Account

If you are relying on any of these, be Breakdown, Travel, Store Discounts etc.
