Flight delay TUI 22 hours

Hi, following the tv programme with regards to flight delays I wrote a letter to Thomson airways in relation to our 22 hour delay flight from Manchester to Mexico in 2009...gave the details even ref number. Today I have received a letter stating that the supreme court in the UK has said that all claims to do with the international carriage by air are subject to the framework of the Montreal Convention and goes onto state that claims need to be brought within two years.:(
Does this mean that is it then or do I resend another letter>
Thanks for your support in this matter.
Kind regards

Lots of information in the dedicated Thomson thread and at least two others on here to answer your question. Have a look yourself0

How do I get into the dedicated Thomson thread mentioned? I am interested because we were due to fly back from Palma, Majorca on Saturday 29 Oct. 2011 and our plane was sent to Mexico. That meant that a smaller plane was sent out to Majorca. We and approximately 90 other passengers were not able to travel and instead of leaving at 7.30 that evening we flew at about 2.00 a.m. the following day. A flight with our no. left Palma and landed at Manchester on time, but of course it was not the scheduled plane and we were not on it. When checking on the recommended website, it shows that there was no delay to our flight no.0

I suspect you will get the same response we did after 4 letters and 1 NBA. Absolutly no respnse.
If after 14 days and no response Down load the PDF forms off the small claims court web site along with all the PDF notes etc read and inwardly digest and start an action stating in your submission exactly what happened.
Were you provided with meals etc during the delay in accordance with 261/2004. Also you can claim interest on the money from the date of the flight at 8%.0 -
We did get meals and were able to stay in the hotel until departure as it was the last weekend of the season and no guests were arriving from the UK.0
