Does anyone know if Amex are usually happy to issue Charge Cards to customers who've never been with Amex before?

They are more likely to issue charge cards to new customers and those with weaker credit than the revolving credit cards.0

Yeah, if you have a look at the website you'll see that the criteria for the Gold Card are actually lower than many if the credit cards.0
