Item not as described, after 60 days

I paid for a dress from a UK buyer who agreed to post it outside of the UK to me, subsequently life was a bit busy and it totally slipped my mind until 6 weeks later when I realised I hadn't received the dress. The cheeky buyer hadn't contacted me to ask for my address and I assume they were hoping I wouldn't go looking for my item. They told me to send on an additional £2.50 for overseas postage, making the postage £6.50 which was grossly overpriced but I didn't want to make an issue of it. The item arrived today and is a tatty mess - poor alterations, full of holes. Best part is that the postage was £2.40 - they were happy enough to chase me up for more postage and when they sent it off they didn't refund the difference (I usually do myself). I sent them a firm but polite message. I'm so angry as it is not worth the £15 I paid, but am I totally without rights now that the 60 days are up and I can't leave feedback?

Sorry this is more of a rant but I vainly hope I can get some justice ... can I? I'm a seller of 5 years and this sort of behaviour makes me rage  The trash some people have the cheek to send out!!

I'm sorry I'm a bit confused. Why would a buyer want your address, aren't you the buyer? Also if you paid via PayPal then they had your address anyway.

As for postage, £2.40 doesn't sound correct at all for a dress from the Uk going overseas.

After 60 days you cannot leave feedback nor have any other remedy on eBay.

They wanted a UK address as I had an Irish address on my paypal.

From the UK to Ireland the postage on the dress was £2.40 - as stated on the envelopes postage label.

Can I do anything via paypal?

Why did you leave it 6 weeks?

Sorry but as others have said you are too late to do anything. In the futuer you need to act quicker.

Actually, ebay and their new resolution has been allowing cases to be opened up to 90 days. This has been queried on the ebay PS boards and a pink (ebay moderator) has confirmed this but he has stated it is purely to encourage communication and that after 45 days the case cannot be escalated.

Perhaps try and see if you can open a case.
