Buying a new Saniflo

We have just had a really bad experience with a company we used to fix our saniflo toilet that was overflowing. They fitted a new saniflo pump and then said we had to get a plumber out to finish off the job as they don't do plumbing work even though they are authorised by saniflo and advertise themselves as members of the institute of plumbing and heating.

I am not so sure now they have sold us a brand new saniflo as they have given us very little paperwork. I think they have sold us a refurb. Can anyone tell me who has bought a saniflo pump what paperwork we are supposed to get with a new saniflo?

I will never instal a saniflo again anyway as they are too problematic including the engineers who fit them!!

Many thanks.

We have had the same experience sadly - wish I could say we had had success! Our original Saniflo lasted for 8 years, despite the poor installation - lazy plumber used 90 degree bends instead of swept bends etc etc. We used a supposedly Saniflo trained and approved plumber who ripped us off £200 to "fix" the installation and then left with it still not fixed - he wittered on about getting Drain Doctor to unblock the pipework to the stack, no way were we going to get those cowboys in for anything!!

Bought a new unit and asked local plumbing firm if they could fit - said yes then sent their least experienced appy round to do it, he admitted he had "only done one" . Needless to say, not successful and plumber wanted to rip out all the f.loor boards, smash up the house, and "fix" the piework by cutting out all the right angle bends. Not feasible in a fully furnished and carpetted house and they would not lay it to the outside, even fully lagged in a boxed casing so we have no Saniflo and seemingly no solution unless we wreck the house and chuck all the furnishings out the window while they "fix" it. Eventually got a new style cassette loo which actually looks like a loo and not a square box, as its really for the en suite and quick night time wees!!

I noticed with the so called approved Saniflo guy that the unit he wanted to flog us was not boxed and was rather dusty, looked like a refurb, and I bought one from local plumbers merchant for over £100 less for the same model, brand new and boxed. Its all connected and works fine, but our pipework has a blockage somewhere

    Saniflo - never again!!!
