Ex Display Kitchen Appliances

Hello everybody. I'm in the process of buying a flat, our first property, and we've started looking at kitchen appliances now. A colleague mentioned that he got an oven, washing machine and fridge/freezer for £600 from Homebase because they were all Hoover and Homebase weren't using their stuff anymore, or something.
Any of you aware of such or similar offers? What would be a good way of getting a bargain?
Thanks a lot!!
Paul

Probably i the wrong forum Paul but a mod will probably move it for you, we were looking at Wren kitchens some time ago and they had loads of ex display stuff at good prices, Wren showrooms are pretty national I think so maybe worth a look.

Your duplicate thread having been removed and my post on it gone too as a result I suppose I'll repost it:What use to you is the "bargain" if the appliances are sold as seen with no warranty either expressed or implied and they turn out to be a pile of poo?

Usually there places that specialise in "graded" white goods that have minor blemishes/scratches etc for a discount - although they apparently retain the original warranty..
Check out ebay to get an idea on pricing etc, alot of these companies advertise on there with buy-it-now pricing.0
