Assistance dealing with Parking Eye Please

Hi,
My wife recently fell foul of Parking Eye whilst waiting for me to return to Southampton from the Isle of Wight. The catamaran I should have been on was cancelled and she waited for about thirty minutes in an area that she did not realise was Parking Eye controlled. About four weeks later I received a parking notice with (I gather from this blog) the usual pay £60 now or £100 in due course letter and then a follow up one week later.
I am unsure as to what information I need to include in my letter challenging the parking amount and would be grateful for any assistance please.

Would need to know what the restrictions were on the car park, e.g. free for a certain time, or P&D, or what. Also what are PE alleging is the infringement.

Please don't post personal specifics like date/time/name/car reg, as PE do look at these forums, and must not be allowed to identify you/your ticket.
