    Hiya,

The A64A form i will ask cab to help me tomorrow (depending on opening times i guess)

The house land registry is in the hands of ma's solicitors

The ESA suspension was lifted, i went to draw some money out on the 8th this month,, nothing in, phonecalls and days later i got the correct form (A64A) sent and i got a phonecall back on the 11th saying the A64A will be sent out that day, give it 2-3hrs and payment should be in the account, so yes hopefully this monday coming i should have another esa payment in (fingers crossed)

The housing/council tax i will have to check

That was my main worry, the moving/crossover time permitted after coming into property/capital

I feel somewhat less terrified now

Many Thanks Again, All of You :)

    Def

ps : i contacted dwp/council/utilities etc etc etc the following day of my ma's passing away, she always was a stickler for dotting the i's and crossing the t's

Are you in local authority housing at present? If so, and you intend to move into your mums house, then it just may be that they will give you cash to move out, if they are desperate to get their hands on your property. Just a thought.

I don't see that there is an issue with crossover, not until the property is transferred into your name. At present there is an empty house belonging to your mother's estate, so legally you don't yet own an asset. Your posts read to me as if you think you have already inherited, which is not the case until all the paperwork goes through. So I think you are only confusing matters trying to declare an asset you don't actually have.

If you are the only beneficiary you may well be able to move in before land registry is finalised, which means all you would need to do is ensure council tax benefit switches over to the new house and housing benefit stops when you have vacated. Speak to the solicitor about that, ask if you can move in/ they can hold off finalising any paperwork for a few weeks.

    Hiya's,

The flat is now owned by a charity, the company moved for charitable status a few years ago

The will, no my sisters won't contest, they were not left anything, though i have gone out of my way to be ammicable and fair as my mother wished me to be (as-in, if they wanted items etc then i could let them have them etc unless i wanted them for want of better words)

Besides a picture of my late father my mother gave me years ago, with all of my heart i could not take it from my ma while she was alive (i offered to have it copied to the best current standards for my one sister, and i'm waiting for a reply) all the items they have wanted i have given through a family go-between

Fire Fox, i think you're right, i may of acted before needed, i just didn't want to get into any trouble with A : the benefit system B: with any sort of law (say, late trying to sort paperwork etc)

Besides double checking with CAB and the housing authority/council tomorrow, i will just have to wait on solicitors, but will try to check on the chance of maybe starting to move items in ??

As it now turns out, opening my mouth and asking for paperwork kinda caused the benefit payment suspension, i really wanted to get everything sorted correctly and above board

I knew some day i would have to do what i've done or having to do, it's still very sore for me, do this n do that, fill this send that, on top i am expected to sift through my ma's belongings for silly stupid items

    Hope this makes sense

    Thanks for all the help

    It's much appreciated

    :)

    Hiya,

If needbe i would sell the car, and any other of my remaining possessions of any value, have already done so for the past few years

But hopefully and i stress hopefully, when the invoice time arrives i would of sold about everything i could of to raise cash

If you've ever hit bottom, you find selling items comes easy when it's for what you see is a good cause

    Many Thanks

I know this is a money saving site but this suggestion is verging on the dishonest.

    Hiya,

I think i understood what chesky meant

In the papers/media some councils especially as you get further south gave incentives for people to move shall i say further north

I assume chesky was thinking along those lines

Far from what i want though, just an end to paperwork and all things done legal and above board etc

I unfortunately have to depend on the state (taxpayers rather) i wished i didn't and i could turn back time but i can't

I am doing my utmost and will continue to do so

The A64A form has been filled in, good old friend of a friend went through it lastnight, pretty simple, and hopefully will lesson the paperwork/phonecalls

    Thanks Again

I wasn't being dishonest at all. My local authority pays those who move and free up council housing - I think it's £1,000 for a two bedroomed place, more for a 3 b.r. They are quite up front about it - it's even on their website. But still very often people haven't heard about it.

I assumed other local authorites do it also which is why i suggested it - I wouldn't dream of telling anybody to do something illegal or dishonest.
