Hi all,
I've searched the threads and various websites but just wondered if anyone has any recommendation about Landlord Gas Boiler Cover.
As far as I can see there is British Gas £16/month, NPower £9.50/month, and Homeserve £168/year.
Anyone got any experience of these or any others please?

Get yourself a good plumber ours is great if we have a problem with a boiler he goes out if its simple or cheap he does it if not say its a pump or circuit board or any other expensive bit he tells us to use British gas one off boiler repair which covers 3 main bits plus fitting for from memory £99 plus vat we give our man 20 or 30 quid call out and them ring BG , A circuit board alone is about £80 to buy then fitting so always works out better this way.
Lots of landlords do it this way you just need a good fella on your side to start with0 -
Open a savings account. Put £16 per month into it.
Find a good local heating engineer.
If you have a problem, call engineer and pay him out of the savings account.
If no problems, after 2 years, go to pub with friends using 50% of the savings account.0 -
Thanks for the advice but both answers are based on knowing a good plumber - which I don't, so that's a risk. I'll work on that but in the meantime any avice about the cover please?0

if you dont know a good plumber, go with british gas, for peace for mind, i moved in to a house where the boiler was condemed took LL month to get some one to look at it
it is easier for peace of mind, all you do is phone them up if problem, no hassle for you or tenant0 -

What brand of boiler do you have? If it's not one of the more common brands you might want to call them and find out the name of their recommended servicing company for your area, as they will be more likely to have the correct replacement parts available. I was caught out by this once, when my usual plumber/gas servicer couldn't source a necessary part; I've switched to use the local servicer for the boiler brand ever since.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
On a rotating plate, with spikes like Flash Gordon
And you're Peter Duncan; I gave you fair warning0
