Prepayment meter beeping with credit on, then credit went.

My electric meter usually beeps when it gets to less than 50p, ive been good lately keeping an eye on it, as I can be quite forgetful when it comes to checking meters.
So I checked it this morning and it said I had £1.50ish on it, I figured I would get some more when I went to collect my son from Nursery. Then just now it started beeping, not thinking I automatically went and put the key in to activate the emergency credit but as I did I noticed my meter said £1.36, then the emergency credit activated and it said I had £7 on.
Any ideas where my £1.36 went to?

Most likely it was standard charge or if you have a debt on the meter it could have gone on that.
If you suspect your meter is faulty you can get it checked, but if it turns out to be ok, they will probably charge you for the visit.0 -

Hi folks,
My electric meter keeps beeping even though there is credit on it. I run out of credit and power went off, so I put £30 on it to make sure I was able tipsy back any emergency credit I used and still have plenty credit left.
Any ideas to why it is beeping? How do I stop it? This is doing my head in now! Help!0 -
If you're tipsying it back no wonder it started beeping!0
