Hi all, I am not new to Mse but new to this site. I am trying to get my head around these threads. I just picked up a Dare magazine in the chemists. It has some coupons in there for £5.00 off straighteners and some other coupons. I know this will seem like a silly question to most of you but can I use these coupons for my grocery shop at Asda and Tescos? Also when I was trying to read the first threads there are boots coupons can I use them too off my groceries? This seems too good to be true if this is so. Also I have read some references to barcodes starting with a 99 what exactly does that mean? Thanks in advance. Sorry I am trying to read the threads but am getting confused. Taffy

Hi Taffy

Welcome to the board. I am also relativley new to this but I will try and help you. Coupons that start with a 99 barcoode mean that you can use them in any supermarket and they are not store specific. The coupons you have in your chemist brochure may be for that particular store and therefore you would only be able to use them in that store.

I am not very good at explaining things, but I hope this has helped you a little bit, till someone else more experienced comes along :-)
