Daybreak treats presenter Spain why?

Maybe I have missed something but why does a BBC presenter , a weather girl i believe),have to be presenting from Spain an item (5 mins?) about exercise ? Admittedly I don't usually watch the programme but in general I am sick to death of seeing very poor excuses for jollies for the well connected as they patronisingly tell us what is good for us. So why does a weather girl need to be reporting from Spain?

Im confused, you say "daybreak" in your title, then mention a BBC reporter. Daybreak is ITV. If you are in fact talking about daybreak then what dose it matter, its a private company spending their own money.

Thanks for your reply. Yes my mistake. I guess it is not so bad cos its a private company. As I said don't normally watch. my irritation with jobs for the well connected remains but you have diffused the worst of it this morning! So irritated watching various actresses in particular having holidays in Cornwall and India and voicing over every other advert too. Rant over! Thanks again

Yer i know what your saying. It dose sometimes annoy me when presenters go on a jolly for flimsy reasons. However quite often these jollys save the company's money. When it comes to contract negiattions there can quite often be a cap the company can pay before having to increase others wages. So to get around this they will add "perks" into the contract such as X amount of jolly days a year.

I think the same for most non-studio news reports.

Why on earth is it deemed necessary for a reporter to go and stand outside 10 Downing Street to report the death of Margaret Thatcher?

    What does it add visually?

    Absolutely nothing!

Far too many of these sorts of broadcasts.

Im just pleased that Kate is not on the sofa now Lorraine is back. Kate is constantly trying to make a name for herself by asking questions that she feels are clever, she also interrupts too much. Sorry to hijack the thread, but had to vent...lol

It may be that the presenter has another job to do on location (ie filming other segments that are location specific and will be broadcast at another time) and it made sense for them to do this extra little bit at the same time. It seems unlikely that they sent a presenter and a whole crew out there for a 5 minute segment!
Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!
