How much to put in an on-suite?

We are buying a four bedroomed house and the main bedroom is plenty big enough to have an en-suite put it. Where we would put the en-suite is luckily right next to the bathroom so this shouldn't pose any problems. However, Ive absolutely no idea how much it costs to have the internal wall of the en-suite put in as well as a toilet, basin and shower. Under or over £500? Thousands?

(Just realised I spelt ensuite wrong in the title!)

We are currently having an extension and an en-suite put into my daughter's bedroom. Not sure how much the interior wall is costing as everything is included in the bill for the rest of the extension but the costs for our en-suite are roughly:

Basin and toilet (complete i.e. with taps, waste etc), good quality electric shower, hard shower tray and tiles which were reduced to £4.95 sq mt (£100 in total) from B & Q for £600. B & Q do what they call en-suite packages which we found to be one of the cheapest ways of buying (we shopped around quite a lot). You can buy either just the toilet and basin or they also have a package which includes the shower cubicle, all at really good prices (and the quality is OK). They did have a third off all bathroom stuff when we went - they may still have it on.

The shower cubicle is basically going across the whole width of the room and so we bought a sliding door which fits onto the wall at both ends. This was reduced from £699 to £399 from Bathstore, again good quality (we found them to be quite expensive for other stuff though). It is costing us in total about £1,200 including floor tiles. I think you may struggle to get it done for £500 but it may be possible. I know we shopped around for quite a long time and this was the better deal for us (although we could have got it a little cheaper if we had gone for the 3 piece en-suite from B & Q but the shower cubicle they offered was not what we wanted.

Good luck - hope that helps in some way.

Thanks for that. We don't really need to include the price of tiles as we have a family member who will tile it for us quite cheaply. I think B&Q will be our first port of call. We may have a look in some bathroom shops but I would expect these to be a bit too expensive.

You just need a joiner to build you a stud wall. You should be able to get something for under £500 including plastering and skirting the new wall.
