UKCPS Ltd ticket

I have just got a parking ticket from UKCPS
We visited Burger King, Valley Centertainment, Sheffield on Sunday afternoon. We were on there for about 30 to 40 minutes after which we left site. During this afternoon there was a concert at the Arena and I’m assuming that UKCPS assumed that we were going to this concert. It states that it was issued as I left the site, the only time I entered the site and left site was with my car. During this visit I did not see any warning signs of charges and when their operatives placed the ticket on my car it wasn’t in a prominent position or highly visible so that I could question them there and then. After I had eaten at Burger King I then drove off to Meadowhall Shopping Centre. I can prove that I was in Meadowhall Shopping Centre as I have the relevant receipts from my shopping that afternoon. Do I just ignore the ticket?

Please alter the times and actual car park out of your post, Peter Haswell their office manager lurks here for victims. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Anyway, you have 3 choices on this
1) pay them
2) appeal and when rejected go to popla to do so independently
3) ignore them
First one I don't recommend, otherwise why come to a money saving site? Second is probably the best shot for you, first appeal if rejected then go independently with our help. Or third to ignore them completely.
Just so you are aware this company does make small claims on occasion, especially to people on sites like this when they can identify you, the reason is to try and embarrass people on here with their advice.
A defence for this can be given though, but you do need to research the private parking industry on here and pepipoo.com to familiarise yourself with this. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

Your case is like this one then - only this one is UKPC and yours was UKCPS:

...but in addition you can add into your appeal letter that you DID NOT leave the site at all! Word it strongly.
When they reject, come back here and let us know what the rejection letter says and what date is on it, when it was posted (keep the envelope if franked with a different date than the actual letter). You can then move on to the POPLA stage of the appeal and win it (probably) with our help with some very strong legal challenge wording.
P.S. By the way, Meadowhall are no better and use PCM, a notorious ex-clamper firm! You have some atrocious car park scams around your way then!
P.P.S. Do not reply to any private message asking for details or offering to 'help' you or threatening to escalate this 'ticket'. Beware private messages over fake PCNs, keep it on the open forum. And UKCPS are nothing to worry about - they seem to trade out of the back of a caravan behind a pub in Leeds! See post #17 here to see the sort of firm you are dealing with here:

HTHPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
