Does anyone know when Vanquis actually increase their credit limits? I have had a card with them since 1st December 2012 and no increase as yet...
I have numerous qualifications in Business and Finance, Accountancy, Health and Safety and am now studying Law.

To be honest only vanquis know, the way you conduct your account, the monthly credit report feed and there own internal systmes all work together to say a yes or no to a credit card limit review.
In my case very 4/5 months I get an increase, I always pay off every month and dont carry a balance. I have a very low credit usage compared to my exsisting credit limits.
But thats me, someone else might always carry a ablance and get the same increase, its all individual. Vanquis wont eneter into any correspondance on the phone or via other means if you try to push for an increase, you just have to carry on useing it and at some point you will get an increase.

I have had mine for 2 years in June/July this year, one increase in that time last March £250 to £1000. Always paid in full and on time each month never carry a balance and usually spend around £200 a month.
I don't think there is any formula to their increases, other than the more you spend and carrying a balance is possibly more favourable to them, as they make more money out of you.
Which at their APR's is not really advisable, unless of course you like filling their pockets.0 -
It's been every four/five months for me. I clear in full every month though.0

I currently only have a £100 limit, I pay in FULL every month, my FIFTH statement is due on the 25th.
I just hope they get a move on...I have numerous qualifications in Business and Finance, Accountancy, Health and Safety and am now studying Law.

Any particular reason why you want a limit increase?
I want to get rid of my other credit accounts but with only a £100 limit, that isn't going to allow me to do that!I have numerous qualifications in Business and Finance, Accountancy, Health and Safety and am now studying Law.

I applied for a Vanquis at the start of December and today I received a letter to say that they are increasing my credit limit from £500 to £1000 on the 21st May.

I had mine in Aug 2011, I think I got an increase from £200 or £250 to £500 about Jan 2012, then I can't remember if I got one inbetween, but then in Oct 2012 they upped me to £1250. For 1st 6 months had DD to clear balance each month in full, but then switched it to min amount but typically clear in most months, maybe leaving £50 or £100 on in. Often spend up to £500-£1000 a month on it, but as said, clear it most months. Hoping they'll up it again soon.0

If you have other credit accounts with larger limits then why don't you just keep one of those open instead of waiting for vanquis to up their limit?0 -

Think mine was at 250 for a year then went up to 1000 then 3 months later 1750 with a small decrease in Apr then 3 months later the "gold" card came. Some months clear it all others carry large balance and then cleared within a month or 20
