Hi all, I am aware this question has probably been asked a million times before but as the technology changes so fast I thought I would ask for some advice.
Printers seem to always be on this website cheap but just lately I haven't seen many at all, typical as My girlfriend has asked me to get us a new printer, preferably a wireless one with scanner, but I want to make sure we are not going to just use it until the cartridges run out and end up buying another printer. Personally I only ever print on cheap draft black setting but my girlfriend needs a really decent colour printer for her excel expenses and some bits and bobs for presentations in her new job, budget will be about £60 but we could stretch more for something decent that has a good discount. Tesco currently have £15 off £75 spend so it is a option to buy from there.
Any help or advice would be brilliant on which printers should see us right for a couple of years, as she needs to buy one ASAP.
Many thanks in advance for any help chaps.

One option

Though make sure it is an SX435W they give you as it uses cheaper compatibles, if they hand you an XP Printer then the compatibles for those are a lot more at the moment0 -
See this months PC pro printer test .
My preference is always for Canon and single ink packs.

Some here, also available on ebay, though watch for delivery charges on both sites

There are 4 complete sets for £12 delivered here at the moment

I have printers which use 9 inks, print to A3+ and they always run on compatibles. I have also bought printers in pairs and ran one with the supplied inks and the other with compatibles, there may be a difference in output but no one has been able to tell me which printer was used for copies of the same image using both printers.0 -

Thank you santer, the reviews for the printer look great so we will go for this one!0 -
Hi there, weren't to buy the SX435 but it was out of stock for delivery and at all of our local stores, out of stock at tesco too and I am struggling to find it in stock and for the argos price anywhere, any suggestions or can anyone recommend another printer model please?0

Try for either of these, one cheaper the other £10 more, though check the specs by scrolling down and they don't seem to be too different.

This should help you find the nearest, though ring to check they have the printer, and that it is not a substituted XP Printer

Compatible inks are available for both0
