Just looking for some advice really. Bought a car last weekend from someone we knew & stupidly didn't do a hpi check on it. nope, and even it people did you shouldn't rely on it as insurers can change their minds about policy terms & conditions/assumptions.

What matters is what they say when you take out the insurance.
