Can anyone give advice please.
I recently had a scan during a gynaecological procedure which showed up a suspicious looking blood vessel that I was told not to worry about.
However, I did worry as this person was a specialist in gynaecological matters not vascular.
I have asked my doctor to refer me to a vascular team and this has been done with an appointment next month.
If I took out any health/life cover now, before the appointment and before any definite diagnosis is made, would I be covered for anything relating to a problem that may be diagnosed bearing in mind that the original person told me 'not to worry about it'.
Any advice would be gratefully received.

You would definitely have to disclose your recent examination and also the appointment. Failure to do so would mean that should anything untoward happen the insurance company would have grounds to refute the claim.I have retired from a career in Financial Services........Thank God. Any advice given may be as a result of senile dementia so dont take it too seriously.......0

Its rare for a health cover co to cover you for anything that is ongoing or started before the cover did. I have read of such co's on this site that will but you have to pay through the nose for them.
From experience I know that BUPA will go back as far as they can to find out if any problems you claim for started before you took out a policy with them.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
Whilst tests are ongoing, the underwriters are unlikely to offer any cover. It will normally sit there waiting for the tests to be completed before deciding if and how they will impact on policy issue.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Further to my post of 17/5, I have now been to see a vascular consultant who has told me there is "No Problem" and the other person "made a mistake".
Would I therefore need to say anything at all about the 'episode' if I should take out life/health insurance in the future?
Any more advice greatly appreciated.
Many thanks.Vonvonvon:happylove0 -
