I keep toying with the idea of doing it in a similar way, essentially it would be samples of bigger lots we sell. It would break even and possibly earn a few pence, but could bring in customers.
Regarding the seller I just searched the company and apparently they don't exist, except on Ebay! It could be the name is spelt wrong.
I always seem to get the most amount of problems from the cheap things."Love you Dave Brooker! x"

They sell loads at 99p, getst hem at the top, they get 5 stars generally which is probably cheaper than actually advertising on a normal website.
Bit like earlier this year on TopGear when they played rugby in them Kia's. All the cars on the show got battered, but due to the global coverage TopGear has it was probably cheaper for Kia to repair the cars rather than doing a 20 second advert on every global TV chanel .0 -

If you sell expensive, but at low-volume in a particular category, then doing this will help your visibility in Best Match. Seems to work for me anyway. :undecidedThey deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0 -

They must be whopping discount surely?
I wouldn't mind knowing this too.
If I sold that then I'd charge 69p for postage. How much would it cost (approx.) for a business seller? 29p? 59p?

58p with a RM business account (>£5k pa spend)
So if you buy item for say 6p, then 99p less COGS 6p, less ebay fees 9p, less PP fees 10p, less 58p postage, less 5p envelope = 11p profit. They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0 -
Run out of stock. Keeps the listing running, keeps them high in the ratings and can just drop the price when more come in. No one is going to buy at that price so quite safe for them, a fairly standard practice with high volume sellers.Brooker_Dave wrote: »0 -

So from 1500 odd sales they've earned £168?
Good or bad?"Love you Dave Brooker! x"

A lot of these folk are getting the item packed in the mailing bags ready, and even sealed with a CN22 printed on it - which means they are simply slapping labels on them. If you can't do it that quick, it's certainly not worth it. You'll also find their whole operation is done this way, so the persons paid to bag up the items are on Chinese wages and not UK. The downside is there is no extra quality control check this side of the globe, and the seller will be hard put to answer any questions about the item, even what colour it is, etc, basic questions. (right angled power lead turns out to be straight through etc)
Hope this helps.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. Your statutory rights are not affected.0 -

137385 feedback, so another way to look at it is they've earned £13k from going to the post office 137000 times."Love you Dave Brooker! x"
