Royal mail parcels not being delivered, possibly theft?

On various days in March, four items which I had won on eBay were posted to me but they didn't arrive. They were sent by standard mail i.e. not signed for etc.
When I contacted the seller's, 2 have them sent me replacements, they too have not arrived, so that makes six parcel gone missing.
One of these replacement parcels was sent signed -for and when I looked on the post office tracking site the parcel hasn't moved from its original position.
Seemingly, signed-for parcels are not tracked stage by stage, just have the original entry and records a signature when it has been delivered.
I have never had any trouble with parcels delivery before and as far as I can tell letters are still coming to me without a problem.
With six parcels not arriving, I obviously suspect that something has gone wrong with the post offices delivery service, possibly theft?
I contacted the post offices Customer Services Department explaining the situation. The guy I spoke to was not all interested and just told me that the senders can claim from the post office and when I told him about the possible theft, which I suspected, he ignored me and wouldn't really discuss it further.
I am at a loss of what to do next. I hoping that someone here would kindly suggest what I could do and come up with possible solutions.
I was thinking of possibly taking the matter up with the police, but I don't know. I just don't know who else to contact.

Contact your sorting office.0

^^ Agreed - go in to ask them if they can locate your items.
Also, it might be worth logging into paypay / ebay to make sure you don't have any incorrect / old addresses in there.0 -
Suggest to your sellers that as you are experiencing high parcel loss, ask them to send via an alternative. I would stop buying items until the issue is sorted, as multiple sellers are losing money at the moment through no fault of their own.0

You're not the only one having your parcels lost/stolen, RM are currently investigating the post coming to my address0

It may not be theft. We had problems when the new all-singing-all-dancing sorting office opened in a city near us. Parcels would enter it and never be seen again... Finally Royal Mail realised there was a problem, and we did eventually get some of the stuff - several months later! They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0
