AMEX Platinum Cashback Card - Minimum monthly use?

Hi,

I applied for my card and it will be with me in a few days however I was wondering if there is a minimum number of time you must use the card per month to get the cashback? I didn't see it written in the terms but I thought I heard that this was the case from somewhere??

Not afaik, only the Barclaycard Cashback has these type of terms.

No minimum monthly spend although I expect you'd want to use it as much as possible (especially during the first 3 month bonus period). You'll get the cashback on your anniversary of membership which is a bit of a pain as it effectively means that you'll have to pay the second year annual fee as well! However, if you don't want to do this you can pay the fee, get your cashback and then cancel for a pro-rata refund on the fee.
