I got something in once, the seller was in china and they ticked gift. Mind you, it was below the duty rate so they couldn't charge anyway. It was a small item so I doubt customs could be bothered with vat either.0

You tick "other". You record the retail price.TrickyWicky wrote: »I got something in once, the seller was in china and they ticked gift. Mind you, it was below the duty rate so they couldn't charge anyway. It was a small item so I doubt customs could be bothered with vat either.
Small? What as in a diamond ring? Size is nothing to do with it. Value and description are key. Not all goods can be imported to all countries and it is for that country to decide if taxes are to be levied.0 -
thanks, i bought a number of items in the sale reduced from £5 to £3 - would i record £5 or £3 (£5 is actually printed on the box).0

You record what the customer pays you, they are importing the item in effect.0

It is not a gift - you are selling it. Tick the 'other' box and enter the Ebay value you have sold it for as the value.0
