Euro Car Park Issue

Hi All

I got a letter through the post demanding i should pay them £90 (or £50 if before a certain date) for alleged stays over the free hour. On the letter they have 2 boxes with my number plate within (whether this is actually a photo or a mockup, i dont know).

I've read some threads on here regarding Euro Car Parks and followed the advice and sent an email to their helpdesk stating the following:
Hi

Thank you for your communication dated 05/04/13. I am not endebted to you in any way and I would therefore ask you to refrain from making any further unjustified demands for money from me. Any further such demands, either from yourselves or any agents, will be regarded as being Harassment.

Many thanks

James

...and then i thought this was the end of it. However, i received a response:
Dear Mr xxxx

Contract law applies, signage at the site is quite clear in its intent

Due to the new Freedom of Protection Act 2012 the registered keeper can be made responsible for parking charge notices and further costs through civil action

The parking charge notice will progress and will be passed to a debt collection agency

We do have any appeals procedure if you would like to send your appeal

Regards

Customer Services

Any advice?

James

Euro never ever ever do court, and by them rejecting your appeal did they give you a popla verification code (if England or Wales) if not they have 35 days to do so otherwise they time themselves out.
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Just email the same to their appeals thing, just add at the bottom

If you reject my challenge I require a popla verification code with 35 days of the date of this email, per the bpa code of practice.

I have nothing further to add and will not enter any further communications with your company.

And look at https://www.popla.org.uk so you can see what it is, remember its only England and Wales, we can help you with a popla defence so you are not alone

They will reject - and when they do, please make sure you don't fire off such a quick appeal to POPLA and waste your chance. You need to do a fair bit more reading & researching to formulate a strong POPLA appeal. See these threads discussing appeals and POPLA:
