Hi All,
Firstly thank you for reading this post!
I sent a SAR request some time ago to Natwest... my biggest debt (£3500) from charges alone. They sent me a letter this week saying they could not locate the information that I have requested...
How can I ask for a refund of charges if they cannot give me ANY information?
Can I ask them to write off the debt?
Is there another way to get this information?
Any advice would be greatly received.
Thanks

As the debt is still live, they should have the info.
Did you ask for all info they hold on you or just specific items and did you enclose £10.
This will not get the debt wrote off I am afraid.0 -
I sent the letter from the templates on this site asking for all information. They stalled at first by saying that the address they had on file was different to my current address so I had to provide evidence of this. Now they are saying they cannot locate any information. What would you suggest I do next?Debts: Vanquis, Avon, Lowell, Gothia, Natwest, Capital One, Very, Cheque Centre, Loan Xtra, Txt loan and WageDay Advance. Total 3589.39/7910

I'm sorry, I don't think I am filly following you.
Why have you requested information about charges if you already know that the charges amount to £3500 and that these charges alone make up your debt?
Also was the address they had on record your current address? If not, did you ever advise them of your current address (before making the SAR)?
If you think the organisation is deliberately withholding information then the ICO is the organisation to complain to.

What information do you need? If you're wanting them to look at the charges on the account just write to them asking them to do that. You don't need any information about the account other than sort code and account number (although if you've now updated your address with them you might not even need those).Getting married 02.08.14
