Using nectar points for hotel via Expedia

I want to book a hotel via Expedia and use my nectar points. If I'm reading it right, you have to call the helpline and then they'll apply your points as a voucher to you expedia account and then you apply the voucher when you book? Is that correct?

According to the site -

"Once your points have been debited from your Nectar account, the relevant voucher value will be dropped into your Expedia account ready to redeem against your next booking."

If I call the helpline on Monday to transfer my points over does anyone know how long before the voucher is applied to your account? Are we talking hours or several days?

Nobody answered this but incase anyone else has the same question, you can call expedia and they will transfer you customer services who can transfer the nectar points to your account, it happens almost instantly and then they will do the booking for you too if you wish. One thing to note is that you need to have the same email address on your expedia account as the nectar one so something to keep in mind as I had to update nectar info first and then call them back.
