I've booked this hotel.
http://www.hardinghotel.ie/
Also if you go to the bottom of the page and click on copper Alley, you will see the hotel has a restaurant. And you can get a 4 course meal for 15 euros. Saves hunting round dublin.
Gets good reviews on trip advisor. Also has just been renovated. Also not far from the Temple bar.
If you book through octopus travel it is cheaper, we paid £127 for 2 nights b/b.
may see some of you here.0 -
We stayed in The Parliment Hotel, just a short walk from
Temple Bar. Breakfasts are really good, rooms have tea & coffee making facilities and really comfortable. Wasn't noisey either, a complaint of many hotels right on Temple Bar. Lunchtime the food at Gogarty's (in Temple Bar) is fab, I had the beef sandwich, half a cow between two slices of bread, you help yourself to salad & get a dish of chips too! The Guinness Factory is a must, the view from The Gravity Bar is amazing, and so is the pint you get when you get to the top. We got a family day rover bus ticket from the desk in the airport, it gets 2 adults (and kids if you have them) into Dublin for 8.5 euros. Bus stops on O'Connell Street, a bit of a walk to the hotel but we later found out there are buses that stop just off Temple Bar. Enjoy your stay and have a Guinness for me when you're there.

I've just booked a family room for the Travelodge at Dublin Castleknock for 89 euros a night. It's 5 miles from the centre, but there's a bus stop outside. I phoned them to check. There's a travelodge in the centre too, but no rooms available when we're going.
If anyone finds anywhere cheaper for 2 adults and 2 kids, please post as I can easily cancel. Thanks0 -

we always stay at The Academy which is a 10 second walk from O'Connell Street at across from the start of the open top bus tour stop.
We booked them through dublin.city-centre-hotels.com though it's now owned by Best Western and I think it's cheaper to book direct through their site.2008 wins: Avon handcream, 4 x body cream set, L'Oreal moisturiser, Tom Tom One XL sat nav, Jackie Collins book, Orange Liveradio, 6 night holiday to China!, 2 x Status Quo tickets, St Helier Cider stuff, Aperitivo bowl, signed Paul O'Grady book, Jessop's CeWe photo book, Flight of the Red Balloon dvds/book, Wild Bean Cafe mug & spoon.0 -
