OP, what made you think you could take a Vauxhall Astra off road?

They are not the ideal vehicles for driving through muddy fields etc.

Why would you go to such a dodgy site for advice and why have you posted about them so many times.

THey also seem to go to great lenghts to hide their identidy - no contact details on the web site and a hidden domain registration (which I've just reported to Nominet).

There are many posts on this thread that are completely inaccurate!

A personal loan is NOT secured on the vehicle. The owner is free to sell it at any time. Some banks do register the finance on HPI and when HPI is specifically shown as a personal loan the owner is still able to sell the vehicle.

If the OP speaks with Santander, if you give them the vehicles registration number they should confirm whether or not they hold an interest in that vehicle. If the finance is by way of a personal loan, there will be no issue selling the vehicle on.

That is what I was thinking, when looking for a car you must have a vague idea what kind of terrain you will be driving on especially since you used to 4x4's.
